India’s Tata Steel reported that its finished steel production totaled around
4.7 million tons in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2021-22, rising by 3%
compared to the same period a year ago. The sales volume during the period
amounted to around 4.6 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.1%.
Meanwhile, Tata Steel Europe’s steel production was 2.56 million tons, up by 19.1% year on year. The sales of this company had a year-on-year drop of 4.8%. The production of Tata Steel’s Southeast Asia business during the given period was 490,000 tons, down by 3.9% year on year. The sales volume was recorded at 600,000 tons, 9.1% higher compared to the same period a year earlier.
