Cast Iron Parts
Cast iron is a ferrocarbon alloy with a carbon content greater than 2.11%, which contains more silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and other impurities than the carbon steel. Industrial used cast iron contains 2.5%~4.0%.
According to the different existence and form of carbon in cast iron, cast iron can be divided into white cast iron and gray cast iron.
White mouth cast iron is rarely used in industry to make mechanical parts, mainly as steel making raw material or blank for walkable cast iron.
Gray cast iron according to the existence and form of graphite, it can be divided into ordinary gray cast iron, malleable cast iron and ductile cast iron.
Ordinary ash cast iron is mainly used to manufacture the bed body, box, chassis, guide rail and other parts under pressure. Malleable cast iron is mainly used to make small thin-walled parts, such as pipe joints and farm tools, with bear impact load during work. Ductile iron is mainly used to manufacture mechanical parts with complex force and load, such as crankshaft, connecting rod, gear, camshaft, etc.
