Studs are a class of fasteners without head and threaded at both ends. When connected, one end must be rolled into a part with inner threaded holes, the other end through the part with through holes and then onto the nuts even if the two parts are fastened into a whole. This form of connection is called a stud connection, and also belongs to a removable connection. It is mainly used for large thickness of one of the connected parts, required compact structure, or unfavorable bolted connection due to frequent disassembly.
